So we went for our Neonatal follow up appointment yesterday. I was a little nervous because Lena was going to be tested for her oxygen saturation again and I was scared she might fail again. She really hates wearing those stupid tubes to bed every night. I really should have more faith in my little fighter, she passed with flying colors, no more oxygen for our girls. YEAH! We have to keep the tanks for one more month and in case of emergency, then we can tell the oxygen company to come and pick up their stuff. Good riddance to all the extra tanks and that chapter of our life.

The girls keep growing and impressing more and more people. The dietitian at the clinic could not believe they weighed in at 13lbs even (Kassie) and 12lbs 11oz (Lena). She was thoroughly impressed by their growth. YEAH we must be doing something right. I guess we’ll just keep flying by the seat of our pants it seems to be working. We also got the go ahead to start solid foods in the next few weeks, she wants us to wait 2-3 weeks so that they are closer to 6 months corrected. I don’t think I’ll bother rushing it. The prospect of something new is exciting but it makes for extra work and mess. On the other hand its one more step toward growing up and not being my little cuddle monkeys anymore. Pathetic I know. Back to grow, no, don’t grow.

To top off the greatness of the appointment, the Dr said he doesn’t need to see us back until October. He thinks we see enough people with our PT, OT and family Dr and because the girls are doing so well, he doesn’t need to see them for awhile, unless we have a problem (God forbid).  YEAH less appointments for the summer!
