My dad loves kids. I should say, loves to spoil kids. Ever since I can remember my dad has always let the little ones have a little more junk than their parents might otherwise allow. For example he is a firm believer that every kid (especially little ones) should have their OWN birthday cake, to themselves, to eat with their hands.

I would not let him give the girls their own cake for their first birthday, they were just too small and Lena had been so sick. He made me promise that I would not stand in his way for their second birthday.  Since they have grown so much and now that Kassie eats just about everything he has made it his mission to give them both a sweet tooth.

While cooking dinner at Easter Papa helped feed the girls lunch. While apparently my lunch menu was boring so he sweetened it up a little.  Nothing wrong with dessert right?
