ps. Cross your fingers everyone. Since a few days after her last surgery there has been a pressure sore on the back of Lena’s head, right where the shunt valve sits. It has stayed the same size, scabbed over and didn’t seem to bother her so no one has been concerned. This morning the scab was lifting, thinking it was healed I went to take off the lifted part and what is underneath does NOT look like healed skin. An infection in that area would be a BAD thing. We will be seeing the neuroseurgeon on Tuesday. Until then the sore will stay covered with a special dressing. Please cross everything and pray that all is OK!
