After having quite a few crazy nights in the last couple weeks, none of which involved Miss Lena sleeping through the night I finally got a reprieve. I woke at 5am to find myself still in bed, having never left, and feeling quite rested. As any good Mom who is used to getting up several times a night, I got up, checked on the babes, smiled and promptly went back to bed. Victory several hours of consecutive sleep. Why the complaining you ask? Well at 6am I was still fast asleep when Wayne’s daughter Sky woke up us to say she had found a Dog in the pasture with the horses. Being the animal savvy daughter of the family, she brought the poor boy home. Me, being the animal savvy parent had to get up and make sure the poor guy was okay to remain a visitor until we could figure out what to do with him. In the mean time we’ll call him Buddy. Buddy is a really nice, well taken care of mixed breed (looks like lab/german shepperd). His tags say he’s from the Edmonton area so I’ll have to wait until folks in that area begin to stir before I can try to locate his family. Until then he is hanging out in our back porch with food and drink, whining and howling. No more sleep for me this morning.
