Lovin’ Summer

Published by Korrina under Family, Twins

Sorry about being such a delinquent blogger but we have been enjoying the great summer weather. It has been fairly hot and dry here (except for the rain the last three days). We got the girls a paddling pool and it is a hit. Lena loves the water, always has. Kassie wasn’t too sure about [...]

Quadruplets?

Published by Korrina under Daily, Family, Twins

NO, I am not pregnant and definitely not with quadruplets.
I had to show off the rag dolls that my Aunt Linda made the girls for their Birthday/Christmas. They are old enough to enjoy them a little now. They are so cute. Both girls have a teddy bear and pajamas to match the ones their dolls have. [...]

Big Brother

Published by Korrina under Family

Lucas came over for a visit last weekend. He and Jade have not been coming over as much, not sure of the exact reason but it’s unfortunate, they are missing out on so much with Lena and Kassie and we really miss having the whole family together. I hope they decide to put their differences [...]

Sweet Toothed Twins

Published by Korrina under Family, Preemies, Twins

My dad loves kids. I should say, loves to spoil kids. Ever since I can remember my dad has always let the little ones have a little more junk than their parents might otherwise allow. For example he is a firm believer that every kid (especially little ones) should have their OWN birthday cake, to themselves, [...]

Easter Bunny

Published by Korrina under Daily, Family, Parenting

Okay, so I am a delinquent blogger once again. I know I promised to stay on top of things because when I get behind I just can’t catch up and I know that I will forget to mention something cool that happened. Oh well, can’t be super mom all the time. Cape is in the [...]

Baby Girl Knows What She Wants

Published by Korrina under Daily, Family, Parenting

Little Miss Kassie knows what she wants. This has become a source of frustration for us both. She knows what she wants and wants nothings else once her mind has been set on something.
Problem: she is not mobile and gets frustrated because she can not always get what she wants and she is not verbal [...]

We Love Nana and Papa!

Published by Korrina under Family, Twins

These pictures are a little over a week old already. Nana and Papa came over for a Sunday visit with the girls.
The girls always have fun playing with Nana and Papa, I think it is because they get a little spoiled. Oh well, they deserve it. Yeah I know one day it will probably haunt [...]

Can Anything Else Go Wrong?

Whenever I roast a turkey or chicken I ALWAYS make my famous soup. So after having our turkey dinner on Sunday evening I spent the day in the kitchen on Monday making soup and pureed baby food. For supper we all had soup and turkey sandwiches, YUM YUM. Thanksgiving left overs are almost better than [...]

Giving Thanks - A Little Late

Thanksgiving here in Canada was Monday, exactly one week after we came home from the hospital. We had a quiet dinner together as a family, just us. I cooked a turkey etc and we all had a nice meal together, thankful that we could be together.
Some of the people I am thankful for:
My girls - [...]

Living in the hospital - one month today

Today it has been a whole month that Korrina and Lena have been in the hospital, living in their little *8 x 8 cell* as Korrina calls it.
Lena’s white cell count is still way too high.  The doctors are wondering if the injections of antibiotics through her drainage may be causing the white blood cell [...]

Thank You!

A HUMONGOUS Thank You to everyone who has helped us.
There have been numerous people that have reached out and helped us since the girls were born. From the NICU nurses and the Ronald McDonald House to people we have never met. To all of you a great big Hug!  We couldn’t have done it without [...]
