My oh my it feels like this week took a month to go by. I’m really not sure why but I can’t believe last weekend was only 7 days ago. I guess lots has happened this week. My grandmother who had been down visiting since the 26th of April went home on the 10th. We had a full day of appointments yesterday and we went into town today for what was supposed to be an appointment but I had written the time down wrong so we missed it, we had lunch with Wayne instead.

I guess that the last week, really the last 2 weeks have seemed long because we had a guest in our house. Don’t get me wrong I love my grammie and its nice to have her visit but the girls and I have a system and it works for us. Having an extra body in the house just changed the system and all three of us felt the effects of the change. The girls were different and their clocks were a little off, due in part because grammie just does things differently that I do and they were not used to it and due in part to there just being someone new here and the whole system being a little off kilter.  My goodness I’m all grown up (sort of) and my routine got all messed up I can’t imagine how confused a little tyke could get.

Well I love grammie but I am very glad to have our old system of chaos back. I guess I have just gotten used to caring for the girls myself and I kinda like having them to myself during the day. Its crazy but I get more done alone than I did for those 2 weeks with extra ” help ” . 

Note to self: hire a house keeper. They are paid to help you therefore you do not feel obligated to visit all day long.

I am very glad she came to visit and see the girls though. Not too many kids can say that they have a great-grammie, never mind having met and been cared for by her. So, all chaos and routines aside the visit was great and I am glad that the girls and I got to spend some good quality time with her while she was here, even if it meant putting of blogs and websites for 2 weeks more than I would have liked. Who know how many  more visits like that that we will get. The world wide web isn’t going anywhere.
