A Walk in the Park
Yesterday we finally got a taste of summer weather, long over due. It didn’t last long though its overcast and windy today, hot but overcast so we’re probably in for a storm.
So due to the wonderful weather and the fact that my mom stayed home from their cabin to go to her staff party, we decided to spend the day with Nana. No work got done and the house is a disaster but we spent time outside and it felt great. I have been wanting to take the girls for a walk along the path by our river for awhile, the walk along our road is so boring. So when Nana called to see what we were dong it sounded like a great opportunity for a sunny walk and an ice cream cone. (The girls will have to wait for theirs, too little yet). I think the girls enjoyed themselves, they were perfect angels, basking in the sun (under the UV cover of course). What a great way to spend an afternoon, I think we’ll have to do it more often.
One Response to “A Walk in the Park”

Cooking and scrubbing can wait for tomorrow,
For babies grow up, we’ve all learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep…
I”m rocking my baby, and babies don’t keep!
(I’m not sure who wrote that, but I’ve always loved it. In your case, a walk in the park with Nana is as good as rocking. You can care about the house some other time.)
