Yesterday was a BAD day! Not so much for me directly but for two of my good friends, so I kinda had a dark cloud hanging over me all day.

After getting home from the girls’s monthly check up with our GP (which went great by the way Lena is 11lbs 2.5 oz and Kassie is 11lbs 12.5oz. they are growing like little weeds. Its funny because I get so excited when I have learned hove much they’ve grown yet I want them to stay little forever. How torn I am. ) I got a call from my friend Angie, she was obviously upset. When I called he back she told me that on Monday night her nephew, Owen Lingnau, had passed away in his sleep. He was only 10weeks old and had been perfectly healthy. So far his death is unexplained. His poor mom went in to feed him before she went to bed and found him in his crib. Angie had gone to be with her sister during this terrible time. Please remember their family in your prayers.

Then later in the afternoon while talking to my other good friend Trish, she got a call from her neonatologist (her twins are preemies too, 34 weekers). Trish has been having trouble getting one of her girls to eat so the Dr. has been keeping his eye on her. Well after talking to the Dr. for awhile he told her to take Kieran into the hospital in North Battleford and have her blood sugar and hydration levels checked and then to make her way to Saskatoon to have her admitted to hospital. So by 9pm last night they had been admitted and they will be in hospital for a min of 3-4 days to find out why Kieran is " failing to thrive".

Today we are going to our own set of appointments. We have an audiology screening and then a neonatal follow-up appointment. I get to drive all the way into the city to hear the same thing as yesterday. We are also going to visit Trish and Kieran seen as how we’ll be in the hospital anyway.
